The meals are served every Wednesday (except holidays) from 4:30PM to 5:30PM at the St. Augustine Parish Center - 3030 Main Street Peru, NY.

How long have you been operating?
St. Augustine's Soup Kitchen in Peru opened the doors on May of 2012.
The kitchen is open every Wednesday from 4:30-5:45. We serve the Peru community and surrounding areas. 

Who runs the place?
The Soup Kitchen is sponsored by St. Augustine's Church and Father Alan Shnob. It is operated by many caring volunteers and generous donations. 

How is the program funded?
We are generously provided for by community businesses, churches, clubs, families, municipalities, and individuals.

Who can receive meals?
Anyone who comes in, will receive a warm nutritious meal in a friendly environment. There are no eligibility requirements. "For I was hungry and you gave me food", Matthew 25:35

How many meals do you serve each week ?
We serve between 60 and 80 meals every Wednesday. The numbers change with the seasons and the weather. 

What else do you do?
The Church also refers those in need of clothing and household goods for emergency need to our thrift stores. We can tell you where the closest outreach center is.

How can I help?
We all have gifts and talents too share. Please share them with your community. We are always looking for volunteers.
